How You Can Help

Postpartum Depression.

It’s Not Just A Woman’s Issue…

In Texas, at least 36,500 moms suffer from postpartum mood disorders every year.

Where mothers are not healthy and happy, infants may also suffer the consequences.

The Postpartum Resource Center Of Texas (PRCT) provides information and support to Texas women who are coping with postpartum depression (PPD), adjusting to new motherhood, or battling the baby blues. If you have recently given birth and are feeling down, depressed, or just need a lift, contacting PRCT can be a great first step toward feeling better. Our volunteers understand the physical and emotional demands of new motherhood, and can provide guidance when you need it the most. If your situation requires more than peer support, we can point you in the right direction for professional assistance.
