PRCT News: November/December 2003

PRCT’s First Corporate Gift

The Woman’s Hospital Of Texas recently provided PRCT with its first corporate gift of $2,500. Our heartfelt thanks go to Linda Russell, Woman’s Hospital CEO, and Mary McCarthy, the Hospital’s Director Of Education, for making this support possible. These funds will provide PRCT with a vote of confidence from the corporate community and help us garner enthusiasm from other potential supporters. More importantly, the gift from Woman’s Hospital will support our operations as we help hundreds of Texas mothers in the coming months.

Moms Reaching Out, Calls Coming In

News of the PRCT hotline is rapidly spreading, with volunteers taking over 100 calls for help during each of the late fall months. PRCT’s hotline volunteer base is growing at a pace to accommodate additional calls, and we look forward to helping increasing numbers of families in the coming months.

Austin Hotline Training

The University Of Texas School of Social Work hosted PRCT’s second training for 24-hour hotline volunteers on November 8, 2003. We thank the School Of Social Work for the use of its technologically advanced facilities and for its support of our efforts.

Houston Hotline Training

The Woman’s Hospital Of Texas sponsored our first training for around-the-clock hotline volunteers. Over 20 volunteers attended the first training. To view pictures from the training, click here.
